Use of Customer Information
healthio respects the privacy of its visitors and takes steps to prevent unauthorized disclosure of information to third parties. “Customer Information” includes any and all information received by healthio from visitors to the Site. healthio may store this information to enable it to fulfill orders or to improve the level of service to its Customers. Unless required by law or by court order, healthio will not disclose, share or sell any customer information to any other third party without your prior authorization.

Newsletters & E-mails to You
When you sign up for any healthio e-mail newsletters on the Site or at any time, you can choose to opt out of receiving additional promotional newsletters from healthio.
From time to time, healthio may conduct online research surveys through e-mail invitations, pop-up surveys or other methodologies. When participating in a survey, healthio may ask you to enter Personal Information. The Personal Information you submit in a survey may be used by healthio for research and measurement purposes, including measuring the effectiveness of Site content, advertising or other programs. When healthio’s market research surveys collect Personal Information, we will not knowingly accept participants who are under the age of 18.
Blogs and Other Public Forums
healthio features several community areas and other public forums where users with similar interests can share information. These community areas and public forums are open to the public and should not be considered private.
Any information (including Personal Information) you share in any Site community area, public forum, posting or online discussion is by design open to the public and is not private. You should think carefully before posting any Personal Information in any public forum. What you post can be seen, disclosed to or collected by third parties and may be used by others in ways we cannot control or predict, including to contact you for unauthorized purposes. As with any public forum on any site, the information you post may also show up in third-party search engines.
If you mistakenly post Personal Information on the public areas of the Site and would like it removed, you can send us an e-mail to request that we remove it by using the Contact Us link on the Site. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your Personal Information.
E-mails You Send to healthio
healthio collects Non-Personal Information about your use of the Site. “Non-Personal Information” means information that we cannot use to identify or contact you. We may also acquire Non-Personal Information about our users from external sources.
IP Address Logging
healthio’s web servers collect domain names and/or IP addresses of users to measure what pages and features are accessed by healthio’s visitors. healthio may use software to collect and analyze this information. This information helps healthio administer the Site, improve content and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. healthio may link IP addresses to personally identifiable information submitted to healthio. This information is used to verify whether a visitor has opted in to receiving additional information from healthio.

Information that healthio collects about you may be combined by healthio with other information available to healthio through third parties for research purposes, including analyzing the effectiveness of content, advertising or programs. This information from other sources may include age, gender, demographic, geographic, personal interests, product purchase activity or other information. healthio may report aggregate information, which is not able to be identified back to an individual user of the Site, to healthio’s current or prospective advertisers and other business partners. healthio does not sell or share any Personal Information with any third parties, except that contractors performing services on healthio’s behalf may be provided access to Personal Information when performing these services. These contractors agree not to use this information for any purpose other than performing services on healthio’s behalf.

healthio supports the “Do Not Track” browser setting. Do Not Track (or DNT) is a preference you can set in your browser to let the websites you visit know that you do not want them collecting certain information about you. healthio does not disable your browser’s Do Not Track settings should you choose to enable this browser preference.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy, and healthio’s collection and use of customer information, shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes arising out of this Policy shall be adjudicated in a court of competent jurisdiction in the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Any translation of this Policy is done for local requirements and in the event of a dispute between the English and any non-English versions, the English version of this Policy shall govern.
healthio is committed to preventing others from unauthorized access to the Personal Information you provide to healthio, and healthio maintains commercially reasonable procedures and technology designed for this purpose. The Site has reasonable technical and organizational security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under healthio’s control. However, healthio cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those security measures. Although healthio cannot guarantee that its systems are 100% secure 100% of the time, healthio periodically updates and tests its technology in order to improve the protection of customer information.
healthio suggests that you install anti-virus software on your computer and routinely check for viruses, keyloggers, spyware and other programs that may become installed on your computer without your permission. If you believe that you have received a virus from healthio, please contact healthio as soon as possible so that remedial measures can be taken to remove the virus.
